The League of Legends World Championship is the annual professional League of Legends world championship tournament hosted by Riot Games and is the pinnacle of each season. Teams compete for the champion title, the 70 pounds (32 kg) Summoner’s Cup, and a US $4,596,591 champion prize. In 2017, the finals were watched by 60 million people, breaking 2016’s finals’ viewer records.
Worlds 2017 consist of 24 team-tournament in China with teams from all 13 LoL professional leagues participating across multiple stages.
